The International Partnerships centre is responsible for managing the Canadian Urban Institute’s international relationships and implementing our international activities.

We focus on sharing information about the management and governance of urban regions, bringing Canadian expertise to our partners in developing and transitioning countries, and in turn harnessing learnings from their work and sharing these through both South-South and South-North partnerships.

Our goal is to help our partners imagine a sustainable urban future and work towards it. [more]

CUI’s work aims to support the achievement of the UN’s Habitat Agenda and the Millennium Development Goals, globally agreed-upon strategies for addressing the most pressing problems in a rapidly urbanizing world. Gender equality, environment, and HIV/AIDS are included as cross-cutting themes in our programming and are an important aspect of all of our work in addressing global issues. [more]
